# Непрості

Very unusual book. I think author tried to write in the style of magical realism.  Very close to *One Hundred Years of Solitude* same side topics: magic, incest, multi generational plot lines, some real historical events and real places. So when I was reading it I didn't have a feeling of something novel. Rather it felt like a copy of someone else style.

But I like the production: very nice paper, nice illustrations. Very unusual book from the Ukrainian author for the Ukrainian market.

I read it just after [Ловець Океану](/readings/lovets_okeanu) and I don't know if it's coincidence or something bigger but the focus on sexual fantasies from both authors made me think a bit. I don't see this topic appear that much in the English novels I read.
