## macOS 1.19

*August 25, 2026*

- Multiple selections: Cmd-D selects the word, again adds the next match, typing changes them all, Esc back to one.
- Move by sentence with Option-Cmd-Left and Right. Cmd-apostrophe folds the section. Shift-Cmd-Delete jumps to your last edit.
- Shortcuts follow iA Writer and Bear: Cmd-1 to 6 headings, Cmd-L lists, Cmd-J code, Option-Cmd-F replace, Option-Cmd-Up and Down move a block. Focus mode is Shift-Cmd-F.
- Help, Keyboard Shortcuts lists every key.
- Your own shortcuts: keybindings.json in Application Support, VS Code's format. Two starter files for VS Code and Obsidian habits.
- Long notes open and type faster.
- Search as you type is instant on large vaults.
- Publishing shows progress, and the Publish Vault sheet closes when done.

## macOS 1.18

*August 23, 2026*

- Rename or move a note and every link that pointed at it follows, and history records it as "links updated: Sync.md to Sync New.md".
- Two notes with the same name in different folders are never guessed at: the link stays exactly as you wrote it.
- Zen Mode on Cmd-period: sidebars, panels and footer step away, leaving only the paper.
- Focus In reads like the breadcrumb: crumbs are shortcuts to each ancestor, arrows move between sections, and the outline dims what is outside your section.
- The breadcrumb stops at the folder, and the window names the file.
- Every control follows your colors: history buttons, the conflict bar, pickers, search fields, tables, the folder switcher and the sorted column. The last white capsules are gone.
- The side panel repaints the moment you change your colors.

## iOS 1.15

- iPad keyboard: Cmd-1, 2, 3 headings, Cmd-J code, Control-Cmd-Left and Right for daily notes, like the Mac.

- A background and text color you pick in Appearance paints the whole app, not just the note.
- Selecting an image no longer leaves a sliver of the text cursor painted over it.
- An image you paste or drop into a note now syncs the moment it lands.
- The toolbar's more-actions button now matches its neighbors instead of sitting there as an odd circled icon of its own size.
- File size in the footer reads like a size: 1.4 KB, not 1396 B.
- The formatting bar's Insert Table icon draws a proper table again instead of a scrambled grid.
- On Mac and iPhone, the Info tab gains a Tags section: every tag on the note, with its Finder color, next to Properties and Backlinks.
- A public file is now marked with an eye.
- Copying an image inside a note and pasting it again no longer grows a stray caption under the pasted copy.
- A right-click menu opens with nothing pre-highlighted.
- In the image menu, Size, Caption and Name each sit above their own field on every screen, and read in full text color.

- One selection, one bar: where the floating formatting bar appears, the comment button rides in it.
- Settings on the Mac is now a real window on Cmd-comma, with a sidebar like System Settings.

- Text Size in Settings: A minus and A plus, driving the same zoom as Cmd-plus and Cmd-minus.
- Outline mode (View, Outline Mode, or the footer toggle): work with a note the way outliners like Bike and Workflowy work.
- Which notes are in outline mode follows you.
- Text size buttons on the note itself.
- Right-click a table and the row and column verbs are right there.

- Deleting a note now deletes it everywhere.
- Popovers close when you leave the note.
- Diagram labels are no longer cut off.
- The text cursor no longer appears inside a typeset page or a drawn diagram.
- Wander now has its own Light and Dark setting, in Settings under Appearance.
- The setting is one choice for the whole app, and every window follows it right away.
- The moon button on a PDF is gone, and its job is now called Invert Page Colors, in the same menu as the file's other actions.

- Your writing reaches the disk about a second sooner.
- That also holds when the note is open in front of you: a live agent edit keeps its reason instead of losing it on the way in.
- With the cursor inside a link, the panel opens on that link and shows its address, so changing where it points is one edit instead of retyping it.
- Sync got about seven times faster.
- Editing the same note in two places no longer throws one side away.
- History reads like a person wrote it: added "What is new?", edited "If you want to invest your time...", 3 notes, 12 changes.
- The vault's own history page reads like a log now.
- Menus look and read the same everywhere.
- A page that does not exist now says so inside the normal window.
- Deleting a vault asks first and keeps it restorable for thirty days.
- Adding a paragraph at the end of a note saved it glued onto the previous one with no blank line between them.
- A new test wall runs every note fixture through append.
- Repair tools moved behind a debug door where they belong.

- Press space on a folder in Finder and read what is in it: folders first with their item counts, then files with sizes and dates.
- Press space on a SQLite database (.sqlite, .sqlite3, .db) and see the whole shape of it, and jsonl or .ndjson file and get the same grid a csv gets.
- Map files open on a map, and this is a first version of all of it.
- Editing a map is undoable, and goes down to the vertex.
- The info panel shows what a note links TO, not only what links to it.
- Panel rows line their icon and date up with the first line of text.
- Backlink snippets read as text, not markup.
- A new note names itself from your first line.

- Quick Look works: press space on a note in Finder and you get the rendered page, and csv files get their grid.
- Typst files preview in Finder, which nothing else does: press space on a .typ and you get the typeset pages, not the source.
- Convert to Note works on a PDF opened on its own, not just one inside a vault: the note and the kept original land next to the PDF.
- The Outline panel fills in for a typst paper you open first.

## iOS 1.9

- Activity on your phone: open the info panel on a note and it shows how much time you have spent in it.
- Review: your recent days, each folder with a bar for the time it got and its files ranked underneath.
- Search carries it too: browse and recent rows show the focused time for files you have really spent time in.
- Your iPhone and iPad have been recording this since 1.8, quietly feeding the numbers on your Mac.

- CSV files open as a real grid: header row on top, numbers right-aligned, every cell editable in place.
- The Outline panel lists an open csv's columns, each typed from the data itself: numbers, categories, dates.
- Very large csv files open instantly: the grid streams rows as you scroll and sorting re-queries the file instead of loading it.
- Section rail: small marks along the right edge of a note, one per heading, the bright one is where you are.

- Folders show their files with real previews now: pick List, Gallery, or Icons in the folder view.
- A folder named attachments opens straight into the icon grid, like on the Mac.
- Folders show the icon and color you gave them on the Mac as soon as the vault syncs.
- Multi-file typst projects: #include and #bibliography resolve on iPhone and iPad too, and a shared PDF contains the whole document.

- CSV files open as a grid: sortable columns, numbers aligned, and a raw text view that edits and saves.
- Section rail: heading marks along the right edge of a note, tap one to jump to that section.
- Mermaid diagrams in a pan-and-zoom canvas: drag to pan, pinch to zoom, and diagrams keep a sensible height on a phone screen instead of swallowing it.

- Math and typst: $x$ inline and $$ blocks typeset offline by the same engine as the Mac app.
- Highlight: ==text== renders highlighted, with a highlighter button in the keyboard bar next to bold and italic.
- Raw markdown: edit the plain source from the note's menu, like the Mac eye.
- Insert photos: add an image from Photos or Files.

*August 2, 2026*

- LaTeX math, like Obsidian and better typeset: `$x$` inline, `$$…$$` on its own.
- Typst blocks: a ```` ```typst ```` fence typesets tables, layouts, and math right in your note.
- .typ files, first-class: open them from the sidebar with Source · Split · Preview, typeset pages live as you type, click a page to jump to that spot in the source, move the cursor to highlight it on the page.
- Split view for markdown: the new split button beside the eye shows the rendered note and its raw source side by side.

- Open any folder as a plain folder: just your files.
- Create and save anywhere: ⌘N starts a new file (a blank scratch in a single-file window), and Save As… (⇧⌘S) writes it wherever you choose.
- Rename files in the app, File ▸ Rename… or the ⋯ menu.
- Export as PDF and Print from the ⋯ menu, and right-click any file in the sidebar to Save a Copy… anywhere, without leaving your current note.

- Open any folder as a plain folder, just your files, nothing added, or turn on history & search when you want it.
- Create right in the list: the + button makes a new note or folder, and long-press a folder to add one inside it.
- New notes name themselves, start typing and your first line becomes the file's name.
- Manage notes without leaving the list: duplicate, delete (swipe or long-press), and share, save to Files, mail, or copy.

- Mermaid diagrams now render reliably (they could get stuck as a placeholder) and follow dark mode.
- Browse by tag: click any #tag, in a note or the tag sidebar, and every note carrying it lists right in the editor area, live as you tag.
- Raw markdown one click away: the eye in the breadcrumb row (or ⇧⌘V) flips a note to its plain source and back.
- Choose the writing mode new windows open in, Standard, Focus, Typewriter, or remember the last (Settings).

- Every edit is attributed: you, agents, and changes made outside Wander each show as themselves.
- Vault on GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket? Version details link to commits, blame, and pull requests, and copy permanent links to a note at an exact version.

- Daily notes and an inbox, properly: each one explained, configurable, and per-vault overridable in Settings.

- Select any text and leave a comment, threads anchored right to the words, in a panel beside your note.
- Reply, resolve, and reopen threads.

- Comments live in a hidden `.wander` folder next to your notes, plain files that travel with your vault over iCloud, Dropbox, or git.

- Search your notes: press ⌘K (or File ▸ Search Vault…), note titles and full text, results as you type, recently opened notes first.
- Backlinks: see every note that links to the one you're reading.
- Finder tags now show up in Wander, joined with your notes' #tags.
- iCloud notes that aren't downloaded yet show a Finder-style download pie and fetch automatically, nothing hides, nothing stalls.
