# Changelog

The latest in Wander, the markdown editor that respects your files.

## macOS 2.3

- Wander Cloud keeps a note you bring back right after deleting it. A delete from another device or the web waits a moment on your Mac or iPhone, and an undo that restored the very same text was removed again by that waiting delete; the waiting delete is now cancelled when the note comes back.

## iOS 2.3

- Wander Cloud keeps a note you bring back right after deleting it. A delete from another device or the web waits a moment on your Mac or iPhone, and an undo that restored the very same text was removed again by that waiting delete; the waiting delete is now cancelled when the note comes back.

## macOS 2.2

*October 1, 2026*

- All six heading levels are in reach. The formatting bar shows H1, H2 and H3, and the arrow beside them opens H4, H5 and H6; the bar opens them by itself when you are in one. Format has Heading 1 to Heading 6, with ⌘1 to ⌘6. The bar counts in markdown's numbers now: H1 is #, where it used to say Tt.
- Wander reopens the windows you had open when you quit. With every window closed first, it reopens your last vault; a single file you opened from outside a vault never takes its place.
- A file opened on its own, outside a vault, has a way back: the sidebar button at the top left opens your vault.
- Wander Cloud finishes a sync in seconds when an edit from your other device arrives. Wander rebuilt the whole note history each time one did, which could take a minute on an iPhone; it now adds the edit in place.
- Inline predictive text in your notes. Settings › Typing also turns spelling, autocorrect and Writing Tools on or off for Wander; each follows your Mac's keyboard settings until you do.
- Edit, Spelling and Grammar, like every Mac app: Show Spelling and Grammar (⌘:), Check Document Now (⌘;) and the switches for checking while typing, grammar and correcting automatically. The switches and Settings › Typing are one setting, so spelling and autocorrect stay on once they are on; before, they could come and go.
- Writing Tools is in the Edit menu again. It was hidden because it could not read a note's selection; it can now. Settings › Typing › Writing Tools set to Off still hides it.
- Settings says "included" for a plan that was given to you, instead of a renewal date.
- The Wander Cloud switch for your reading statistics is called Time in each note, and says what it keeps.
- Settings looks like the rest of macOS: a sidebar with a symbol for each page, and every page a grouped list with one line of help at most.
- The outline marks along the right edge no longer slow typing in a note with many headings. They were rebuilt on every keystroke.
- The note's right margin is wider, so comment dots sit beside the scroll bar instead of on it.
- Vault Access says whether the vault is public or private and keeps one size when you flip it. The footer's badge follows the flip at once.
- On wander.md, a folder's grid shows pictures as pictures, long names fit on one line, and the view, sort and filter stay in the address.

## iOS 2.2

*October 1, 2026*

- All six heading levels are in reach: the heading button opens Heading 1 to Heading 6 and Body, and on an iPad with a keyboard ⌘4 to ⌘6 set the smaller three.
- Wander Cloud finishes a sync in seconds when an edit from your other device arrives. Wander rebuilt the whole note history each time one did, which could take a minute on an iPhone; it now adds the edit in place.

## iOS 2.1

*October 1, 2026*

- Inline predictive text in your notes. Settings › Typing also turns spelling, auto-correction and Writing Tools on or off for Wander; each follows your keyboard settings until you do.
- Open Web Link and Copy Web Link, in a note's ••• menu and when you press and hold a file, for a vault that syncs through Wander Cloud: the note you are reading, on wander.md.
- Settings › Appearance › Text Size changes the note again. The size went up in Settings and the note stayed as it was.
- The outline marks along the right edge no longer slow typing in a note with many headings. They were rebuilt on every keystroke.
- A sync that finds a file gone halfway through runs again by itself instead of saying it failed.
- The sync status no longer flickers between syncing and synced on a quick round.
- Settings › Features says what each feature does in one line.
- On wander.md, a folder's grid shows pictures as pictures, long names fit on one line, and the view, sort and filter stay in the address.

## macOS 2.1

*September 30, 2026*

- Your first private vault starts 14 days of Wander Cloud free, with nothing to confirm and nothing charged. Settings says when the free days end, and after them your private vaults keep syncing for 30 days before they turn read only.
- Turning on Wander Cloud says what went wrong when it does not work: your free days are used (subscribe, or make the vault public and it stays free), you are offline, or the server's answer with its code. It used to say "can't connect, will retry" for all three and retry a refusal forever.
- Wander Cloud leaves alone the files that are not on this Mac. In a folder kept by iCloud Drive, Dropbox or another service, a sync or a save used to download every note stored only in the cloud, which undid Optimize Mac Storage for the folder. Wander no longer opens them: such a note is synced as your account has it, and nothing is written over it.
- A folder that is already a vault in your account joins that vault. When the folder's own id had not travelled with it, a second vault was made for the same folder and edits went to the wrong one.
- A sync that fails says why. The footer read "1 needs review" for any failure, which is about a paragraph and not about a sync.
- One vault never runs two syncs at once.
- Copy Link to Block on a note's title no longer offers to rename the note. The link's id at the end of the title was read as part of the name.

## 2.0

*September 27, 2026*

- Wander Cloud: sync a vault through your Wander account, on the web and your other devices, with its full history. Your files stay in their folder. Public vaults are free; private vaults and sharing need Pro, 14 days free. Turn it off any time and the folder is untouched.
- Open from Wander Cloud: on a new Mac or iPhone, pick a vault from your account and Wander copies it into a folder here and keeps it in sync. The welcome window and the start screen have the row, and File, Open from Wander Cloud does the same on the Mac.
- Continue on another device: the note you are reading on the Mac opens on your iPhone or iPad with Handoff, and a Wander link opens the same note wherever the vault is. Your settings follow you between devices.
- The same vault in iCloud Drive or Dropbox on two devices is one vault in Wander Cloud, never two.
- A folder becomes a vault only when you turn on history and search. Opening a note, an import or a refused download never does it any more.
- The sidebar follows the disk: notes and folders added in Finder, by git or by an import appear at once, and deleted ones go.
- On an iPhone or iPad, a note Wander Cloud brings from another device appears in the list while the vault is open, and one deleted there goes. It used to wait until you left Wander and came back.
- On an iPhone, the vault sheet shows Visibility once Wander Cloud has answered, with the current choice marked. When it cannot check, it says why: signed out, not connected yet, or no answer.
- On an iPhone or iPad, you sign in where you are: choosing Wander Cloud for a vault runs Sign in with Apple right there, and the account is the first thing in Settings.
- On an iPhone or iPad, a note's header shows a cloud when its vault is on Wander Cloud: synced, syncing, offline, needs review, or signed out. Tap it for the vault's sync settings.
- On an iPhone or iPad, syncing starts the moment you sign in or choose Wander Cloud. It used to wait until the vault was opened again, so an edit made in between never left the device.
- Create a New Vault on an iPhone or iPad makes a vault, with history and search from the first note, and its welcome note speaks the iPhone's language. It used to make a plain folder.
- The import keeps notes clean: no ids, dates or source links at the top of every note, unless you tick Keep note details. It asks for the Notes or Bear folder once.
- Import from Apple Notes and from Bear: File, Import, and two rows on the start screen under the apps' own icons. Pick the app's folder, pick where the notes go (a folder inside the open vault, or any folder, which opens as it is) and every note arrives as a markdown file in its folder, Apple Notes by its folder tree and Bear by its first tag, pictures and files included. Pictures land once in the vault's attachments folder, named by their content, so the same picture in three notes is one file.
- The import asks what comes across: Apple Notes by its folders, tags or smart folders, Bear by its tags, whole groups or single notes. Everything starts selected.
- The import's progress sheet keeps one size. It grew and shrank with every note's title, and left an empty band under Cancel.
- `![[photo.png]]` shows the picture, and only the picture. It used to show the text of the embed with the picture drawn under it, and the image menu (Small, Large, a width, a caption, Rename, Delete) did not reach it. It is the same image a markdown `![](photo.png)` makes now, and the file keeps what you wrote: a resize writes `![[photo.png|240]]`, the form Obsidian reads. Video and sound embeds play the same way.
- An empty list item can be deleted. Backspace in an empty item that held a list of its own did nothing; now the item goes and the items under it move up into its place.
- An empty list item survives a save. It was written in a form that read back as the text "1." glued to the item above, or that swallowed the whole list under it until the next blank line. Notes saved that way open with their lists again.
- The cursor stays out of a collapsed properties block. It could land inside the hidden text and was drawn over the one-line summary.
- Every column of a folder's table sorts, Kind, Size and Refs included, and the sorted column shows its arrow. Clicking Size did nothing, and a table sorted by date gave no sign of it.
- The "heading and the note's name differ" band belongs to the note. It stayed up over a folder or a tag listing after you left the note, and its pen now starts on the same line as the breadcrumb and the text.
- Wander Cloud stops waiting for a network that is not there. On a wifi with no internet behind it, the first sync never finished: the footer said syncing and Settings said connecting for as long as it lasted. It now says offline, tries again after 15 seconds, a minute, then every 5 minutes, and syncs the moment the network is back.
- Settings, Cloud lines up in one column, and the plan row says "could not check" when there is no answer instead of "checking" forever.
- Help & Docs covers File, Import, the Tags sidebar, the rename band, File, New and links to a heading, and points at the settings where they are now. A page an update renamed or removed is taken out of the manual, instead of being offered as one of your notes to move out.

## macOS 1.29

*September 19, 2026*

- Shift-Down at the end of the paragraph above a table selects the whole table, Shift-Up from the paragraph below does the same, one more Shift-Down grows the selection past it, and Delete removes what is selected. A table could not be selected from the keyboard before.
- A Mermaid diagram with a typo shows one error line under its card. Mermaid used to draw its own full-width "Syntax error in text" picture under the note, one more on every keystroke.
- The source of a Mermaid, Typst or Excalidraw block can be typed into again. The card around the drawing is inert, and the source inside it had inherited that, so no keystroke reached it.
- Delete removes what is selected in a table. Select every cell and press Delete to remove the table, a whole column to remove the column, a whole row to remove the row. A partial selection still clears the cells. Before, Delete on a selected table did nothing.
- A new table or Mermaid block from the command menu opens with the cursor inside it: the first cell, or the diagram source.
- A new Mermaid block can be typed into. Pressing edit on a mermaid card, or inserting one from the command menu, now puts the cursor inside the source. It used to show the empty source and leave the cursor outside, so the first keystroke replaced the block.
- A new document asks before it closes. Write in a New Document, paste something so it takes a title, close the window: it now asks Save As, Delete or Cancel. The rename that gave it the title used to make Wander forget the note was unsaved, so the window closed silently and the file stayed in a hidden temporary folder.
- Save As leaves no copy behind. A new document saved somewhere used to keep its temporary original in that hidden folder.
- Save As sits beside Close in the File menu, where every Mac app keeps it.
- One word for a folder with history, search and tags: a vault. The start screen, the footer badge, its popover and the switch that turns a folder into one all say vault now; the popover used to say "History & Search" and the alert "enable history & search", so the vault the start screen promised could not be found in the app.
- File, New says Base File, not Base, so it cannot be read as a new vault.
- File, New holds everything you can make, under two headers that say where it lands. In "haiku" is the folder you are looking at: Note (File in a plain folder), File for any type you name, such as data.csv or paper.typ, Folder, Excalidraw and Base. Elsewhere is anywhere on your disk from the same window: a blank Note you place when you save it, a File of any type, a Folder that opens in its own window, and a Vault with history, search and tags switched on from the start. Each row says in a smaller line what it makes. Before, a file with your own extension and a second folder or vault could not be made from an open window at all, and Create a New Vault on the start screen made a folder with history and search still off.
- The search window's corners are clean. A squarer dark shape showed behind the rounded glass at each corner.
- What syncs has one switch, Usage analytics. Favourites, folder styles, recents and where you were always sync now; the two switches for them are gone.
- Under Who can read this vault, the price is part of the sentence: Free, or Pro.
- The floating formatting bar comes down when Attachments opens over the note. It stayed up over the gallery.
- Zen shows the page alone: the comment dots in the margin stay out of it.
- Arrow keys keep moving the sidebar selection after they pass a folder. Landing on a folder used to hand the keyboard to the folder listing, so up and down stopped moving the tree.
- The "heading and the note's name differ" band follows dark mode. It came out light on a dark window.
- A new note made outside a folder opens with the side panel closed. It had no properties, tags or backlinks to show, and opened with the panel out whenever it had been left out on an earlier one.
- Links to a heading land on the heading. [[Note#Heading]] opens the note and scrolls to that heading, [[#Heading]] scrolls within the note you are in, and Bear's [[Note/Heading]] and [[/Heading]] do the same. The note opened at its top before, the bare form did nothing, and the Bear form was read as a folder path, so a click made an empty note inside a new folder.
- The rename band comes back after you open the note you are already on. Opening it again, from a link or the sidebar, took the band away until the headings changed.
- The button in the vault popover reads Settings. "Vault Settings" wrapped onto two lines.
- A note that is not on this device yet opens as "not ready", never as an empty note. In a vault kept by a cloud drive other than iCloud (tinydot, Dropbox), a file whose bytes had not come down yet read as zero bytes and showed a blank page; one keystroke would have emptied the real note. The sidebar shows the download dot for those files too, for any provider.

## macOS 1.28

*September 18, 2026*

- Delete works in a vault your cloud drive keeps for you. Folders in a provider folder (iCloud Drive's own, tinydot, Dropbox's new one) would not go to the Trash: the system puts them in a Trash that sits outside the folder you gave Wander, and the app was refused and said nothing at all. Wander now keeps its own trash inside the vault for those, Undo still brings the file back, and a delete that truly cannot happen says so with the reason.
- Deleting the folder you are looking at closes it. The listing used to stay up with the folder's notes still in the table, for a folder that was already in the Trash.
- Right-clicking a link opens the menu only. It opened the link as well.
- The buttons on the floating formatting bar light up under the pointer, like every other button in the app.
- The sidebar's New Note and New Folder glyphs stand in the same column as the icons of the rows under them.
- The checklist and voice-note buttons are gone from the toolbar. They belonged to features Wander does not ship.
- A note opens with no cursor in it, the way Apple Notes and Bear do. The cursor comes back when you click, and Escape puts it away again. A new, empty note still starts with the cursor, because that is what you asked for by making it.
- New Note on the start screen: write first, choose where to save later. The Dock icon offers New Note too.
- Image in the slash menu opens the file panel. It did nothing at all.
- The link button lights up when the cursor is in a link, in a list or in a paragraph.
- Menus, the slash menu and the pickers keep the system size at any text zoom. At 90% they came out smaller than every other menu on the Mac.
- The slash menu has a rule between its families, and it fits without scrolling.
- Nested list items line up like Apple Notes: one step in, the same step as the first level.
- A selected row in a list is painted to its full height. It had an unpainted line along its top.
- The formatting bar stays out of the way: it hides for any menu, including the one you get on right-click, and never shows when nothing is selected.
- A $$ formula right under a line of text draws as math. A sentence followed on the next line by $$, the formula and $$ used to show the dollars and the raw TeX, because the formula needed a blank line above it. Obsidian and Typora draw it, and so does Wander now.
- Drag notes onto a tag to tag them. Drop a note from the list onto any tag in the Tags sidebar and it gets that tag, written into the note's frontmatter so your text stays as you wrote it. Nothing moves: the note keeps its other tags. While a tag's notes are listed, right-click a note and choose Remove #tag to take it out, from the frontmatter, the text and Finder alike.
- Tags can be your folders. The Tags list in the sidebar reads like Bear: All Notes, Untagged and Favorites on top, then your tags as a tree, so #work/clients sits under work. Clicking a tag lists its notes beside the sidebar, and a parent tag lists the notes of the tags under it too. Settings, General, Sidebar Opens In picks Tags for folders you open for the first time. The tag rows no longer unfold into notes; the list beside them holds those.
- Today and Inbox are off until you want them. A fresh install used to put Open Today's Note and Open Inbox in the File menu of every folder, whether or not you write that way. Settings, Features turns each on; then the two sit above the folders in the sidebar as two rows on the same list, so the places a quick note lands are one click, and Settings, General, Sidebar can hide the rows again.
- Selecting across a table highlights every row. Dragging down a table used to light every other row and skip the striped ones; the selection now reads on both.
- History's two tabs say what they hold: File History and Folder History, instead of Note and Library.
- The slash menu opens on a new line only. Typing / inside a table cell, or after text on a line, no longer pops the block menu, whose headings and lists were never something a cell could hold.
- The editor's menus and popups look like the Mac's. The slash menu, the block menu, the table menus and the link and image menus wear the system's translucent grey, one line per row at the menu size, the chosen row in the accent colour, and no icons. The wikilink preview shows the note's name and the note on its own paper, from the section the link points at, and clicking the card opens it. A friend's fresh install said they looked fake, and he was right.
- New Sketch is New Excalidraw, named for the file it makes.
- Search, Cmd-P, looks like Spotlight: the system's material, one large field with the magnifying glass, one row per note with its folder at the right, and the chosen row in the accent colour.
- Every text field in a sheet is the same field, white on the sheet in light and dark on the sheet in dark, the way the system draws them. Two sheets used to disagree.
- The rename band remembers every Dismiss, per note, across launches, and never rides along onto another file. Dismissing it on a second note used to bring it back on the first, and a base opened after a note kept the note's band.
- Links and Backlinks read as sentences. A footnote's context no longer shows its label, and a link from a wide table row shows the cell that holds it instead of every number in the row.
- The right panel opens on Info. Outline is the second tab.
- The rename band under the header carries its rule, so it reads as chrome.
- The file menu behind the breadcrumb's three dots, and the sidebar's right-click menu, in Finder's order: open, then Rename, Duplicate, Copy to and Move to Trash, then Add to Favorites, Copy as Wikilink, Copy Path and Share, then Reveal in Finder. Share no longer names the file. The history panel's mode line lost its icon.
- The footer's mark is the heart, the same glyph the iPhone's bar carries, filled once you are a patron. It was a sparkle on the Mac and a heart on the phone.
- Format, Add Comment greys out over a folder listing, like the other Format rows. It stayed black there and did nothing.
- The File menu, in Apple Notes' order: New, Share, Close, Open, Export and Print, then Rename, Add to Favorites and Save As. It had grown to 27 rows in no order. Copy Markdown, Copy As and Copy Wander Link moved to Edit under Copy, Search Vault to Edit beside Find. Save has no row, Wander autosaves, and Cmd-S still saves. Enable History & Search is the History & Search switch under Settings, Sync. The typst template gallery left the menu.
- The Map, Map File and Place commands left the slash menu, and New Map File and the map verbs left the File menu. The commands pasted a raw map fence into the rendered note as plain text. Map files still open when clicked.
- Quick Look leaves folders to Finder. Pressing Space on any folder used to show Wander's folder sheet instead of the system preview, on every Mac with Wander installed, and the only way out was switching the whole extension off. Markdown, spreadsheets, typst and the rest still preview as before.
- The outline reads raw markdown too. With the source on screen, the outline panel said "No headings" beside the headings you were typing, because only the rendered note fed it. The raw pane now feeds it as you type, and clicking a heading lands on that line in the source.
- When a note's first heading no longer matches its name, a quiet band under the header offers "Rename to" that heading. The file moves only when you click it, the same rename the sidebar does, and Dismiss keeps that heading quiet for that note. The name never follows the heading on its own, because links to the old name would break under you.
- The feedback form says why Send is off: add an email to hear back, or send anonymously. The button was grey with no sentence, and a reader with an address to give could not find how to give it.

## macOS 1.27

*September 15, 2026*

- A new document never loses its text. Save on a New Document asks where to put it, and closing or quitting with an unsaved new document asks Save As, Delete, or Cancel. The text used to be thrown away on close without a word, and Save looked like it did nothing.
- Find works in raw markdown mode. Cmd-F with the source on screen searched the rendered note instead: the count in the bar was real, but nothing on screen moved, and Next and Previous walked a document you could not see. Every button in the bar now acts on whatever is in front of you. Matches are highlighted where they are, the current one is selected and brought into view, Replace and Replace All rewrite the source, and Option-Return still turns every match into a cursor. Toggling Shift-Cmd-V with the bar open re-runs the search on the surface that arrives.
- Two commands that had no key: ⌥⌘N opens the note in a new window, ⇧⌘P adds it to Favorites or takes it out. Both in the File menu now.
- Edit ▸ Go to Line, Control-G. Type a number and the caret lands there, in raw markdown or in the rendered note.
- Shift-Cmd-V keeps your place. Flipping a long note to its source and back used to return you to the top; the line under the caret is carried across, both ways.

## macOS 1.26

*September 8, 2026*

- Zen mode centers the note again, at your Content Width, and hides every bit of UI, toolbar and footer included, while keeping the space above the text. The note fades out where it is, the room empties, and the note fades back in at the middle of the window; nothing slides or jumps, and the scrollbar and the outline rail sit at the window's edge. Move the pointer to the top or bottom edge and that band fades in; it fades out a second after you leave. A customer on 1.24 had the note hanging beside an invisible sidebar, with the footer still there. Every earlier animation moved the web view while it was visible, and a web view that changes width paints its old layout at the new edge for a frame; now the width only changes while the note is invisible, and a per-frame trace asserts the text is never visible anywhere but where it started or where it ends.
- View ▸ Status Bar hides the footer outside zen, and remembers it.
- Closing the last window no longer quits Wander. Switch vaults from File ▸ Open Recent, or click the Dock icon to bring the last one back. Quit is Cmd-Q, as on any Mac.
- Hide Others and Show All in the Wander menu, so Cmd-Option-H hides every other app, as it does everywhere else.
- The sidebar and the right panel keep their widths when the window changes size; the note column absorbs the change. Every resize used to shrink or stretch all three, and the shrunken width was what Wander remembered, so a width you had set drifted from launch to launch. The right panel also came back one point narrower every time it was opened, and on every launch: the restore placed the divider one point too far right, and the loss was what Wander stored.
- Settings ▸ Appearance ▸ Dark on a light Mac, or Light on a dark one, now colors everything, and follows a live switch. The format bar, menus, link cards and the outline popover kept the system's colors and could come out white on dark paper with white glyphs. A test now flips the appearance live and reads the page and the format bar back.
- New Note and New Folder buttons in the sidebar's top strip, on the left. Cmd-N and the menu still work; a customer could not find either.
- Undo after Move to Trash: Edit ▸ Undo or Cmd-Z puts the file back, from the tree, as long as the app is open. A customer had to leave the app for the Trash.
- Find's Next and Previous bring the match to the middle of the window. They only moved the highlight before, when the find bar had the focus, and a match far down the note stayed out of sight.
- The comments pane belongs to the open note. Switching notes or creating a new one kept the quote you had selected on the last note, and a comment typed then carried that stale quote. The quote clears with the note now, and a test switches notes and reads the pane back.
- A web link on its own line stays a link. Preview cards are off by default; Settings ▸ Appearance turns them on, and any single link can still become a card from its menu.
- Help & Docs has a Writing Modes page: what Standard, Focus, Typewriter and Zen do, and how to reach each.
- Open in Wander from wander.md finds the vault again. The link looked the vault up in File ▸ Open Recent, so a vault pushed off that list could not be opened, with no message. Wander now remembers where every synced vault lives; open the vault once after updating and every link to it works from then on. A link that cannot be resolved says so.
- File ▸ Open Recent shows the last 20 vaults and has Clear Menu. Wander keeps a longer history behind it, so Spotlight, Siri and links keep finding vaults you have not opened in a while.

## macOS 1.25

*September 7, 2026*

- The About card grew up. It says who makes Wander, with a photo. A row to rate it, and issue, idea and question that open the feedback sheet. Updates by email, with the field right there, and the row knows once you have confirmed, on every device signed into your Apple ID.
- Settings has three new pages. Apps lists the rest of the family with their real icons. Feedback holds every door in one place, including wander@tinysend.com. About tells the story and links the site and the tracker; About Wander in the app menu opens it.
- File ▸ Share… shares the note on screen through the system share sheet.
- Cmd-U underlines in a typst file. Undoing the last multi-cursor selection step moved to Shift-Cmd-U.
- The format bar shows what the open file can do: a typst file gets its own set, an HTML note shows no markdown buttons.
- Spotlight on macOS 26 runs Wander's actions in place: type Open Note or Append to Inbox, fill in the text, press Return.
- A .base file opens as its table in every vault. The Database feature is on by default now; it used to need a trip to Settings, and until then the file showed as text.

## macOS 1.24

*September 5, 2026*

- The footer says when your pages are actually on the web. Syncing a vault and publishing its pages are two jobs, and the badge watched only the first: it read "synced" while wander.md kept filling in for another five minutes. It now reads "synced · publishing 190/576" while the pages are being built, then "published". If a build fails it says so, and the sync popover offers to try again.
- Zen mode no longer flickers, and the note takes the whole window. The sidebars and the chrome fade away and give back their height, so nothing is left painting a strip across the top and the last lines of a note are no longer hidden behind a footer that is not there. The note keeps its width and its place, so no line rewraps and nothing jumps.
- HTML comments are hidden in the rendered view. A `<!-- comment -->` line takes no space until you move the caret into it, which shows the raw text in place.
- The scroll thumb stays quiet when a note opens. It flashed on every open, and in every screenshot.
- A footnote's peek card shows the note, not the number glued to the front of it. Hovering a reference read "3His mother was Domitia Calvilla" because the card took the label and the text as one string.
- A link to a section of another note lands on that section. `[[book-05#5.21|5.21]]` pointed at an id nobody had stamped: the heading was given the id `5.21` while the link was rewritten to `#5-21`. Headings and links use one rule now, and `[[#5.21]]`, a link to a section of the note you are in, works.
- A vault owned by a team is addressed by the team's name. The sync popover, the web link and publishing all composed the address from your own handle, so a team vault pointed at nothing.
- A highlight in the Comments panel reads as a highlight. A vault of imported reading highlights drew each marked sentence as a full comment card, with a Resolve link, a reply box, a reaction button and the sentence itself cut off after a line. A highlight is now one row: the whole sentence, a swatch, and who marked it. The reaction button is the same shape and size as every other small control, and the empty space above it is gone.
- Embedded files show on a published page again. A note carrying `![[sketch.excalidraw]]`, `![[run.gpx]]` or `![[paper.typ]]` printed the raw link text on wander.md and drew nothing: drawings render as pictures, gpx and geojson tracks as a map, typst as its page, mermaid as its diagram, and `![[another-note]]` reads as a link to that note.
- Math renders on a published page. A note with `$e^{i\pi}+1=0$` in it printed the dollars and the LaTeX on wander.md while the app drew the formula; formulas are typeset there now, inline ones on the line of text and `$$` ones centred on their own, and a price like $5 is still a price.

## macOS 1.23

*September 2, 2026*

- Typing a markdown link makes a link. `[text](url)` stayed as plain text, and the brackets were then escaped into the file as `\[text\]\(url\)`, where no amount of clicking could ever turn it back. A reader lost the links in a whole note this way.
- A plain URL stays a plain URL. Typing anywhere in a paragraph containing `https://example.com` used to add angle brackets around it that you never typed.
- Copying out of Wander gives clean markdown. Pastes carried the `&#x20;` the serializer writes for a trailing space, and stray backslashes, into whatever you pasted into. The file on disk was always clean; the clipboard was not.
- Clicking a heading in the Outline panel goes to that heading in very large documents. It used to land somewhere else entirely: the jump was measured against estimated block heights, and on a 6,000-block document the estimate is nowhere near the truth.
- Bold and italic work across several cells of a typst table at once. Selecting a column and pressing Cmd-B refused; now each cell's text is emphasised and the table structure is left exactly as it was.
- Typing in a very long document is faster: an invisible layer was measuring every block in the file on each keystroke, even in notes with nothing in that layer.
- Grey text is one grey. Subtitles, chart labels and the comments inside a code block were drawn in several different greys, and the faintest of them were hard to read on some displays. There is one now, and it is the darker one.
- Opening a .base file no longer freezes Wander. Running a base reads every note in the vault to resolve its links, and in an iCloud folder any note the system had offloaded stopped the whole app until it downloaded. Offloaded notes are skipped now instead of stalling everything.
- Printing fits the paper. Notes printed at whatever size the screen was set to, with the on-screen reading column and no page rules, so a short note could run to several sheets. There is a proper printed layout now: 11pt text across the full page, headings that do not strand themselves at the foot of a sheet, and code blocks and tables that are not split down the middle. A new Print Size in Settings ▸ Appearance sets how large the page prints, separately from View ▸ Zoom.
- A long note prints all of it. Very large documents skip laying out what is off-screen, which is what makes them open quickly, and the printer was being handed those unmeasured pages as blanks.
- Clicking a place on a map selects it, and shows its name and where it is. Selecting a row in the panel lights its dot, and clicking a dot lights its row. Clicking anywhere along a route selects the route, not only its two end points.
- Every map draws the same pin, in the same colours. A base's rows came out as large red balloons, a .geojson as small bare dots, and a trip day was one colour on the Mac and another on the phone.
- Right-clicking a place works on every map, not only inside a map file.
- A map file has one actions menu instead of two. The verbs that sat in a second menu on the map now live in the file menu with everything else, and the ones a read-only .kmz can never run are gone from it rather than permanently greyed.
- Table borders are no longer cut off at the corners, in notes and on the typst page.
- The formatting bar no longer stays on screen after you switch to another file.
- A table's header looks like a header again, in a base and in a .bib: it was the same white as its rows, separated by the same hairline every row draws.
- The strip above a base view and above a reference list draws a line under itself, and a base view with no summary line no longer leaves an empty band above the window footer.
- A selected row is readable: dark text on the blue selection has been made light.
- A csv shows a small readable table on its card instead of a whole page shrunk to a tenth of the size.
- Opening a .bib puts the cursor in the list, not in the filter field, so the arrow keys reach the rows.
- Backlink snippets keep their links. Stripping the invisible `<a name>` anchors out of a snippet was also eating the closing tag of real links, and an uppercase `<A NAME=...>` was never stripped at all. Wander re-reads the notes it has indexed once, on first launch, to repair the snippets it had already stored.

## macOS 1.22

*August 31, 2026*

- Edit a typst document right on the typeset page. Click a word, type, bold it, add a table row, join two lines: the source updates as you go, and the formatting bar acts on what you selected in the preview. This was a dev-only experiment; it ships on by default, and Settings › Appearance can turn it off.
- Reference-sized documents open in about a second instead of half a minute. A reader sent in the C++ Core Guidelines (2,600 headings, 840KB) as a stress test: it took 38 seconds to appear, almost all of it spent waiting for a screen refresh that never came. Typing in it no longer walks every heading on each keystroke either.
- The formatting bar over a typst page now offers the six things typst can actually do, instead of twenty markdown ones that did nothing.
- Tags no longer come out of code. A C++ document offered `#define`, `#include` and `#ifndef` as its tags; a number on its own, like an issue reference, is not a tag either.
- The Links panel shows a link's real title instead of the raw HTML anchor in front of it.
- Typing into a bullet list written with `*` keeps the `*` on every line and keeps the blank line after the list. Before, a save could glue the next paragraph onto the last item.
- Typing into an indented code block keeps it indented instead of rewriting it as a fenced block.
- Extra blank lines show at the right place in notes with indented code or wrapped list items; before, a long document could show blank paragraphs where the file had none and miss the ones it had.
- Notes with frontmatter save as fast as notes without: a keystroke in a long note with properties took the slow path on every save.
- Typing near `K&R`, `R&D` or `a & b` no longer adds a backslash.
- Typing in a wrapped list item or a paragraph whose lines start with a space no longer re-indents the other lines.
- Typing in a very long note no longer pauses a moment after you stop: the editor was re-reading the whole document a fifth of a second after every change.
- Opening a note no longer re-saves it. The app already refused to write identical bytes; now it does not do the work either.
- An `<a name="...">` anchor in a note is a link target, not text, and no longer prints itself in the middle of your paragraph.
- The zoom controls in the map view highlight on hover like every other button.

## macOS 1.21

*August 27, 2026*

- The typst editor grows real semantics. A .typ file's document details (title, author, date, keywords) and its #metadata records edit right in the Info panel, the same place a note's frontmatter lives.
- Figures and Footnotes list in the Info panel; click one to jump to it in the source.
- Hover a citation in a .typ's source to see its bibliography entry.
- Bases: open Obsidian .base files as database views (tables, filters, formulas), and read a folder as an editable properties table.

## macOS 1.20

*August 26, 2026*

- Become a patron: Wander is free and stays free, and the About popover now takes a one-time gift toward its development. It unlocks nothing.
- Restore Purchases, under the patron amounts: a gift made on another Mac, or before a reinstall, comes back to this one.
- Saving a long note is instant. A 640KB note took nearly two seconds per keystroke and now takes about two milliseconds.
- Typing near initials like S.W.F., snake_case words or a lone asterisk no longer rewrites them with backslashes.
- Opening a note with 20,000 headings is far quicker, and so is every note with many links, citations or footnotes.
- A file too large to edit, like a data dump with no blank lines, opens read-only as plain text instead of hanging the editor.
- Search is faster on large vaults.

## macOS 1.19

*August 25, 2026*

- Multiple selections: Cmd-D selects the word, again adds the next match, typing changes them all, Esc back to one.
- Move by sentence with Option-Cmd-Left and Right. Cmd-apostrophe folds the section. Shift-Cmd-Delete jumps to your last edit.
- Shortcuts follow iA Writer and Bear: Cmd-1 to 6 headings, Cmd-L lists, Cmd-J code, Option-Cmd-F replace, Option-Cmd-Up and Down move a block. Focus mode is Shift-Cmd-F.
- Help, Keyboard Shortcuts lists every key.
- Your own shortcuts: keybindings.json in Application Support, VS Code's format. Two starter files for VS Code and Obsidian habits.
- Long notes open and type faster.
- Search as you type is instant on large vaults.
- Publishing shows progress, and the Publish Vault sheet closes when done.

## macOS 1.18

*August 23, 2026*

- Rename or move a note and every link that pointed at it follows, and history records it as "links updated: Sync.md to Sync New.md".
- Two notes with the same name in different folders are never guessed at: the link stays exactly as you wrote it.
- Zen Mode on Cmd-period: sidebars, panels and footer step away, leaving only the paper.
- Focus In reads like the breadcrumb: crumbs are shortcuts to each ancestor, arrows move between sections, and the outline dims what is outside your section.
- The breadcrumb stops at the folder, and the window names the file.
- Every control follows your colors: history buttons, the conflict bar, pickers, search fields, tables, the folder switcher and the sorted column. The last white capsules are gone.
- The side panel repaints the moment you change your colors.

## iOS 1.20

*September 19, 2026*

- Home, in the vault switcher under the vault's name and in the menu at the top right, returns to the start screen with your recent vaults and the doors. Wander opens your last vault at launch, and there was no way back to that screen.
- The start screen has the Mac's doors: New Note, Create a New Vault, Open a Folder, Open a Single File. It used to say New Document.
- The text has more room at the sides on iPhone, like Notes, so the drag handle on the left and the comment dots on the right can be tapped. The handle sat at the screen's edge, under the back swipe.
- Comment dots can be tapped on a long note. They sat under the scroll indicator, and were too small for a finger.
- Links to a heading land on the heading. [[Note#Heading]] opens the note at that heading, [[#Heading]] scrolls within the note, and Bear's [[Note/Heading]] and [[/Heading]] do the same. The long-press preview opens at the heading too.
- The link dialog and the menus stay out from under the keyboard and the bar. The page now knows what the keyboard and the navigation bar cover, so Add Link opens above the keyboard, and the slash menu and the right-click menus keep inside the visible part of the note. Add Link used to sit centred behind the keyboard, and the slash menu could draw under the bar.
- The popups look like iPhone popups. The slash menu, the block and link menus, the pickers, the link card and the Add Link dialog wear one shape: the system material, the rounded corner, 44 point rows, one button size. They used to be Mac menus drawn on the phone, each with buttons of its own size.
- On iPad with a keyboard, Open Folder keeps Cmd-O to itself. The system's own Open shared the key.
- The rename band shows when a note opens with a heading that differs from its name. It could be taken down by the open itself and then never come back for that note.
- A note that is not on this device yet opens as "downloading", never as an empty note. In a vault kept by a cloud drive other than iCloud, a file whose bytes had not come down read as empty, and a single keystroke would have emptied the real note. The note opens on its own once the bytes land.
- Delete is undoable everywhere. In a vault your cloud drive keeps for you, a note could not go to the Trash at all: the system puts it in a Trash that sits outside the folder you gave Wander. Wander now keeps its own trash inside the vault for those, so Undo still brings the note back, and a delete that truly cannot happen says so with the reason.
- A $$ formula right under a line of text draws as math. A sentence followed on the next line by $$, the formula and $$ used to show the dollars and the raw TeX, because the formula needed a blank line above it. Obsidian and Typora draw it, and so does Wander now.
- Tag notes by dragging. On iPad, drag a note from Files onto a tag in the sidebar's Tags and it gets that tag, written into its frontmatter. Long-press a note in a tag's list and choose Remove #tag to take it out. Settings, Sidebar opens in: Tags opens a vault on its tags, like the Mac.
- Capture shows no destination switch when New Note is the only place a capture can go. A single New Note pill looked like a button that did nothing.
- A note that cannot open says why. The alert used to say only "failed to open", and after a capture it gave nobody anything to go on.
- The editor recovers when iOS stops its page while Wander comes back from a widget or a shortcut. It could stay a blank page until the app was relaunched.
- Tags nest. In the sidebar and in the Tags list, #work/clients sits under work: the arrow opens a tag to show the ones under it, and tapping a tag lists its notes, a parent listing the notes of the tags under it too. A note tagged twice, in its text and in Finder, lists once.
- The outline reads raw markdown too. With the source view up, the outline said "No headings" beside the headings you were typing; the raw view now feeds it as you type, and tapping a heading lands on that line.
- When a note's first heading no longer matches its name, a quiet band offers Rename. The file moves only on the tap, the same rename the sidebar does, and Dismiss keeps that heading quiet for that note.
- The feedback form says why Send is off: add an email to hear back, or send anonymously.
- Today and Inbox are off until you want them; Settings, Features turns each on.
- Selecting across a table highlights every row, not every other one.
- History's two tabs say File History and Folder History.
- The slash menu opens on a new line only, never inside a table cell or after text.
- The Map, Map File and Place commands left the slash menu; they pasted a raw map fence into the rendered note.
- The iPad's File menu follows Apple Notes' order: New, Share, Open. Search moved to Edit beside Find.
- The editor's menus and popups wear the system's translucent material, and the wikilink preview shows the note on its own paper from the linked section.

## iOS 1.19

*September 15, 2026*

- The start screen, redrawn. Wander's own icon at the top, the recent vaults in one card with the name on one line, and the four ways in, Create a New Vault, Open a Folder, New Document and Open a Single File, as rows in a second card, each with an info button that explains that door in two sentences and offers the guide. The Recent rows fit their text at any text size, where before the second line was cut in half, and a vault at the root of a cloud provider's folder is named the way Files names it, instead of the id of the folder it lives under.
- Tap a cell in a spreadsheet's grid and edit it there. The grid opens as the default view of a .csv or .tsv, and until now a tap on a cell did nothing at all, so the editor looked broken to anyone who did not go looking for the Raw view. A tapped cell opens a field with its value selected; Return keeps it and drops to the cell below, Done keeps it and puts the keyboard away, and Previous Cell and Next Cell above the keyboard walk the row and carry on into the next one. Only the edited line of the file is rewritten, quoting and all, and the rest of the file keeps its bytes.
- Press and hold a column's title to rename it. Tapping the title still sorts by it.
- On an iPad in Split, an edit in the grid shows in the raw text beside it straight away, and typing in the raw text still redraws the grid.
- A file too large to open whole stays read-only, and a tap on one of its cells says so on the cell instead of doing nothing.

## iOS 1.18

*September 9, 2026*

- Open a note, go back, open another: the second note's page appears in place, and only it. The slide used to run on the previous note's page, with its selection still showing, and the keyboard and the format bar could rise for that page for a moment before the new one loaded. The editor now knows which note it is showing at every instant, hides the paper while a note is on its way, and lets go of the keyboard when it leaves the screen.
- Settings: the Restore button beside the patron amounts stays on one line. On a phone the four amounts left it too little room and it wrapped inside its pill. It now shows the full name where that fits, and Restore where it does not, at the same height as the amounts.
- The phone writes down what it does when you open a note, go back and open again: the push, the pop, the keyboard's frame and where the format bar is drawn, one line each in the device log. A format bar that showed over the wrong view mid-screen left no trace before, so the next time it happens the sequence can be read instead of guessed.
- Undo after a delete says where the file went and, when it cannot come back, what the Trash holds instead. A restore that answered "no longer in the Trash" for a file that had just been deleted was not saying why.
- iPad: the menu bar. Swipe down from the top edge, or move the pointer there, and every command is listed: File with New Note, New Folder, Open Folder, Open File, Open Recent, Today, Inbox, Search and Share; Edit with find, select next and jump to last edit; Format with every mark, heading and list; View with the panel, focus, outline and fold. Same names and keys as the Mac.
- The vault's name at the top is a menu: tap it to switch to another recent vault, or open a folder or a file. On the iPad it is the sidebar's title. The start screen lists the recent vaults too, with where each one lives, and Settings › Vaults has the same list.
- Wander can be the default app for markdown. Files › Open With › Always, or Settings › Apps › Default Apps, and every .md from Mail or Files opens here.
- Deleting a note shows Undo for a moment, and shake to undo works too.
- Opening a note lands at its top, with no caret and no keyboard. Coming from a note you were typing in, the new one used to open scrolled to its end with the keyboard still up.
- Tapping below the text of a short note puts the caret at the end and brings up the keyboard. A fresh daily note could look uneditable until you tapped its heading.
- Switching to a vault on a slow provider shows a spinner instead of a blank page, and the list shows before the vault-wide note count finishes.
- Opening a note that is a web link on a vault from another app's File Provider no longer hangs the app on the previous note.
- Link preview cards are off by default, as on the Mac, with a switch in Settings › Appearance. The phone never received the setting before and drew a card for every lone link.
- History & Search moved out of the ⋯ menu into Settings › Features, under the folder's name, where the folder's other switches are.
- The About card grew up, in Settings: who makes Wander, with a photo; a row to rate it; issue, idea and question that open the feedback sheet; updates by email with the field right there. Settings › Apps is one plain list of the family.
- "Summarise this" about the open note. On iOS 18.2 and later Siri and ChatGPT can read the note on screen; nothing to name.
- A .base file opens as its table; the Database feature is on by default.
- One scroll indicator on a note. On iOS 26 the page drew its own scrollbar under the system one, so a long note showed two thumbs that disagreed after a fast scroll.
- A comment quote selected on one note no longer follows you into the next note's compose sheet.
- iPad: a file opened beside the sidebar no longer runs under it, and the Info panel opens as a sheet in portrait instead of squeezing the note to a sliver.
- An empty note no longer scrolls, and the spreadsheet grid has a margin on the phone with header labels over their columns.
- Open in Wander from wander.md finds the vault again, and says so when it cannot. Open a synced vault once after updating and every link to it works from then on.
- Recent vaults show the last 20, and Settings has Clear Recent Vaults. The longer history behind it keeps links and Spotlight working.

## iOS 1.17

*September 1, 2026*

- Typing a markdown link makes a link. `[text](url)` stayed as plain text and the brackets were escaped into the file, where the link could not be recovered.
- A plain URL stays a plain URL, instead of gaining angle brackets you never typed when you edit that paragraph.
- Copying out of Wander gives clean markdown: no `&#x20;` and no stray backslashes in what you paste elsewhere.
- Clicking a heading in the Outline panel goes to that heading in very large documents.
- Typing in a very long note is faster.
- Grey text is one grey. Subtitles, chart labels, search results and folder cards were drawn in several different greys, some too faint to read.
- Wander no longer quits when a note changes on another device. With a note open and its Info panel showing, a file arriving from iCloud could close the app outright. This is the one to have: it fires exactly when a vault is synced across a Mac and an iPad, which is when people are relying on it most.
- Tapping a search result opens it. On iPhone the note never opened at all: the search closed and you were left where you started. Two separate faults, both fixed. The open was also being started while the search was still closing, and results for anything that is not a plain note could not be resolved at all. A result that genuinely cannot be found now tells you so instead of doing nothing.
- Move a note to another folder on iPhone. Long-press offered Rename and Delete but never Move to, so on the phone there was no way to move a note into a folder at all. Drilling into a folder also lost Rename and Delete entirely; every folder screen now offers the same actions.
- The sidebar looks like a sidebar on iPad. It was drawn in the same white as the note beside it, so the column holding your folders read as more empty page.
- The Help and Docs are reachable again from a single open file. Opening one file on its own hid the row that opens the manual, and that mode fills the screen, so the guide could be read once and never found again.
- Table and spreadsheet cells are one size again. A column of figures mixed sizes and greys within a single table; emphasis is carried by weight now, so every cell stays readable.

## iOS 1.16

*August 31, 2026*

- In landscape the text no longer runs under the notch. A reader on an iPhone 12 mini found it; the note now keeps clear of the camera housing and the home indicator in every orientation.
- The Files browser can be closed again. "New Document…" and "Open a Single File…" opened it with no way back, so changing your mind meant force quitting. It has a Cancel.
- Appearance settings work when you opened a single file rather than a vault. Text size, font, width and colours all changed the setting and nothing on screen.
- A note kept in iCloud that is not on this device yet now says it is downloading, instead of showing a frozen screen while it waits. If it cannot download, it says that too.
- Long-press a file or folder in the browser for the same actions the sidebar offers, and swipe to rename or delete. Only the star swipe existed before, so a folder made in the browser could not be renamed or removed there.
- Creating, renaming, deleting and duplicating now update the screen you are looking at. They always changed the file on disk; the browser often kept showing the old name or the deleted row, which made a rename look like it had done nothing and invited deleting the same folder twice.
- New Folder scrolls to the folder it just made and selects it, so you can see it happened, and no longer stalls the app while it writes.
- The star action is called Add to Favorites everywhere, instead of Pin in one place and Favorites in another.
- File rows are easier to read: the date and first line under each name are darker.
- Editing a typst document on its typeset page moved to Features, where it belongs, and the Appearance screen no longer contains a row called Appearance.
- The support amounts in About are proper buttons now, lined up with each other and with the text above them.
- Everything in macOS 1.22 below: long notes open and type faster, and several ways a save could rewrite bytes you did not touch are gone.

## iOS 1.15

*August 27, 2026*

- Become a patron: Wander is free and stays free, and Settings now takes a one-time gift toward its development. It unlocks nothing.
- iPad keyboard: Cmd-1, 2, 3 headings, Cmd-J code, Control-Cmd-Left and Right for daily notes, like the Mac.
- Rename or move a note and every link that pointed at it follows, and history records it as "links updated: Sync.md to Sync New.md".
- Two notes with the same name in different folders are never guessed at: the link stays exactly as you wrote it.
- Saving a long note is instant, and typing near initials or snake_case words no longer rewrites them.
- A file too large to edit opens read-only as plain text instead of hanging.

## iOS 1.14

*August 22, 2026*

- The more-actions menu over an open note gains Add to Favorites, the same toggle the file list's long-press offers.
- A note now opens at the top of the page.
- On iPad in portrait, opening or creating a note now tucks the floating sidebar away.
- Settings on iPad grew into the room it has.
- A note whose title starts with a stray space no longer renames its file to a garbled "&#x20;" name.
- The references (.bib), table, map and Typst surfaces now follow your background color instead of staying white.
- The note's side margins follow the width of the column rather than the device.
- An image you paste or drop into a note now syncs the moment it lands.
- File size in the footer reads like a size: 1.4 KB, not 1396 B.
- The formatting bar's Insert Table icon draws a proper table again instead of a scrambled grid.
- A public file is now marked with an eye.
- Deleting a note can no longer freeze the app.
- The same protection now covers creating, renaming, moving, duplicating and saving.
- Copying an image inside a note and pasting it again no longer grows a stray caption under the pasted copy.
- One selection, one bar: where the floating formatting bar appears, the comment button rides in it.
- Background and text color, remembered separately for Light and Dark.
- On iPhone, Appearance opens as a half sheet with the note visible above it, repainting as you tap.

## macOS 1.17

*August 22, 2026*

- A background and text color you pick in Appearance paints the whole app, not just the note.
- Selecting an image no longer leaves a sliver of the text cursor painted over it.
- An image you paste or drop into a note now syncs the moment it lands.
- The toolbar's more-actions button now matches its neighbors instead of sitting there as an odd circled icon of its own size.
- File size in the footer reads like a size: 1.4 KB, not 1396 B.
- The formatting bar's Insert Table icon draws a proper table again instead of a scrambled grid.
- On Mac and iPhone, the Info tab gains a Tags section: every tag on the note, with its Finder color, next to Properties and Backlinks.
- A public file is now marked with an eye.
- Copying an image inside a note and pasting it again no longer grows a stray caption under the pasted copy.
- A right-click menu opens with nothing pre-highlighted.
- In the image menu, Size, Caption and Name each sit above their own field on every screen, and read in full text color.
- One corner radius everywhere: menus, dialogs, buttons, fields, images and tables now share the same rounding.
- One selection, one bar: where the floating formatting bar appears, the comment button rides in it.
- Settings on the Mac is now a real window on Cmd-comma, with a sidebar like System Settings.
- Background and text color, remembered separately for Light and Dark.
- Text Size in Settings: A minus and A plus, driving the same zoom as Cmd-plus and Cmd-minus.
- Outline mode (View, Outline Mode, or the footer toggle): work with a note the way outliners like Bike and Workflowy work.
- Which notes are in outline mode follows you.
- Text size buttons on the note itself.
- Right-click a table and the row and column verbs are right there.

## macOS 1.16

*August 20, 2026*

- Deleting a note now deletes it everywhere.
- Popovers close when you leave the note.
- Diagram labels are no longer cut off.
- The text cursor no longer appears inside a typeset page or a drawn diagram.
- Wander now has its own Light and Dark setting, in Settings under Appearance.
- The setting is one choice for the whole app, and every window follows it right away.
- The moon button on a PDF is gone, and its job is now called Invert Page Colors, in the same menu as the file's other actions.

## iOS 1.13

*August 20, 2026*

- Deleting a note now deletes it everywhere.
- Popovers close when you leave the note.
- Diagram labels are no longer cut off.
- The text cursor no longer appears inside a typeset page or a drawn diagram.
- Wander now has its own Light and Dark setting, in Settings under Appearance.
- Invert Page Colors now works on iPhone and iPad too.
- Tapping through the manual shows each page.
- Notes read like a book on iPad.
- Links can be edited: right click a link on the Mac, or press edit on the card a long press brings up on a phone.
- The outline rail opens on tap.
- The graph came to touch.
- The filter button is the legend.
- Find a note by name: type in the find field and the camera flies to the best match.
- Leaving the app during a big vault scan is safe now.

## macOS

*August 20, 2026*

- Saving a note no longer asks your disk about every other file in the vault first.
- A change now reaches the cloud in one exchange instead of two.
- One edit says "synced" once.
- Your writing reaches the disk about a second sooner.
- That also holds when the note is open in front of you: a live agent edit keeps its reason instead of losing it on the way in.
- With the cursor inside a link, the panel opens on that link and shows its address, so changing where it points is one edit instead of retyping it.
- Sync got about seven times faster.

- Press space on a SQLite database (.sqlite, .sqlite3, .db) and see the whole shape of it, and jsonl or .ndjson file and get the same grid a csv gets.

- Your iPhone and iPad have been recording this since 1.8, quietly feeding the numbers on your Mac.

## macOS 1.10

- CSV files open as a real grid: header row on top, numbers right-aligned, every cell editable in place.
- The Outline panel lists an open csv's columns, each typed from the data itself: numbers, categories, dates.
- Very large csv files open instantly: the grid streams rows as you scroll and sorting re-queries the file instead of loading it.
