# Links & wikilinks

## Wikilinks

A `[[wikilink]]` jumps to another note in the vault. Click one:

- [[Welcome]], back to the start
- [[Markdown Syntax]], the syntax reference
- [[demo/Tables]], a sibling page in this folder

Wikilinks are Obsidian-compatible, so a vault you build here opens the same way in Obsidian.

## Regular links

A normal markdown link goes to the web: [wander.md](https://wander.md).

## Why it matters

Because links are just text in your files, they survive forever, no database, no proprietary format. Move the folder anywhere and the links still work.
